Advance End-of-Life Care Planning Guiding you to help you determine your options.

End of life care planning is a process of reflection and communication – it is more than just preparing a will. It is a time for you to reflect on your values and wishes, and to let your family know what kind of health and personal care you would want in the future if you were unable to speak for yourself.

I can help guide you through this thought process and help you clarify your values and beliefs.

But most importantly, I will help you record all this information so that, when the time comes, your family will know what you want and will be able to ensure (as much as possible) your wishes are met while at the same time managing the emotions that come with difficult decision-making.

I can also help those who survive you understand the grieving process and provide them with healthy mechanisms for coping with their grief.

Making an Advance End of Life Care Plan is a wonderful gift you can give to your family. I will even help you get the conversation started.

Advance Serious Illness Care Planning Guiding you to help you determine your options.

Just as with end of life planning, serious illness care planning values are personal feelings or beliefs that are most important to you when thinking about medical treatments that you might be offered when you are seriously ill. Your values are a big part of the medical decision-making process. It’s NOT what your family thinks is important. It’s NOT what your doctor thinks is important. It’s what YOU think that is important. I will help you learn to express your values in a way that will help you work with doctors to get the medical treatments that are right for you.

Medicine is an imperfect science - medical doctors can’t always tell how things will turn out for you. But knowing what is important to you will help with decision making. Part of this process involves naming a substitute decision maker if you are seriously ill and can’t speak for yourself. I can help you with determining your values and beliefs.

Funeral/Life Celebrant Officiant Guiding you to design a memorable funeral or celebration of life ceremony.

The death of a loved one is difficult and life changing. Let me walk with you through this journey.

I will assist with developing and carrying out a meaningful life celebration or funeral service that is personalized, reflective of the life of your loved one, and appropriate and meaningful to their life’s circumstances. You are always in control and I am simply with you to offer guidance with all those elements important to the service – music, poetry, religion / spirituality (as desired), life tributes (eulogies) and anything else that will make that day easier for you and your family. It all starts with a phone call or email, an open heart, an open mind, and a fresh, blank piece of paper.
